So this is the first time we have spoken this new year. UGH! I had a post written for the first week of 2017, and I even had pictures/videos of our epic New Years Party. But as I tried to upload the images and videos they all posted sideways or upside down. After about 3 hours of trying to fix them, I gave up...and my "Welcome to the New Year" post was never posted.

I began reading, expecting a typical & predictable romance novel, and nothing of the first few chapters dissuaded that notion. However as the story progressed, and more of the characters' pasts were revealed, a darker complexity crept into the story. I enjoyed the unexpected twists offered by Rose as the story unfolded. I look forward to more from this author.
