Summer Vacation

I'm a little late with posting these and I apologize for that.

In June my baby bother (not a typo) and I went to visit family in Florida. We also hit up some of the sights while we where there. I didn't take many pictures (sorry!) but here are a few-

While on our visit our uncle took us to a barbecue festival...we got there a little late and most of the places had sold out of the good stuff, so we decided to check out a local BBQ joint up the road. This is what my brother ordered:
Please note that he has 2 plates! Do you see the one with the bread and baked potato? That's his too. And I do believe he had one more side of meat as well.

Needless to say, he did not finish his meal in one sitting:

These are his leftovers. The restaurant didn't have a container big enough so they wrapped his ribs in foil.  Don't mind the foot at the top of the screen, I had just sat on the floor and he handed me his leftovers to take a pic of...that's his foot.

I believe the evening after the rib fest our uncle took on us on an evening casino cruise. This was my second time going but my brother's first.

We were waiting at the dock before setting sail...I knew my mom wanted pictures so I figured it was the best time to snap some.

Me and my baby bother, Alex. We had a great time of the boat. I walked away $30 richer from playing the blackjack tables for the first time. You've got to give me some props, I won the $30 four minutes before the tables closed for the night.

Family night out! I'm only posting a few pictures of our family on one of my last nights in town. I shall keep the rest of the pictures stored on my phone and not risk turning up missing...I was warned by some of my family not to post their pics.

My beautiful cousin, Kelsi and I.

Aunt Kathy and me being goofy. (I told you I was posting this picture!)

Me trying to take a selfie of me and that white building behind me. I need to work on my aim.

My lovely, ageless grandmother and I. Good thing she doesn't get on line, she told me not to post this picture. (hehehehehe, she'll never know.)

I tried to take a pic with my brother and I got to close to him. As you can see, I took the picture in the middle of jumping out the way of being jabbed in the ribs. (ugh, now you know why I call him my baby bother.)

The last picture is of Boots the cat. My grandmother's BFF and lap cat/dog-she sits guard while my grandmother doses off to sleep throughout the day.

She swatted at me two seconds after I took this pic. Silly cat.

I had a great time, so much so that I don't have anymore pictures. Well, I don't have any more pictures that I'm allowed to post. But I do have a Labor Day weekend getaway planned with friends so I'll make sure to get some good shots of them. Until text time, happy reading!

Wayward Love

Does age matter? How about race? When you think about these subjects, does the person you love come to mind? Do you find yourself trying to justify the feelings you have for someone that may not fit the ordinary couple standards? Should anyone have to give a reason for why, when that special person enters the room everything else ceases to exist? These questions have plagued Tia Grant, Junior Editor-in-Chief of her local newspaper and short story romance writer. As she enters into an interracial relationship with Maxwell Grant, a man 41 years her senior, society, family, and friend's instinctive curiosity keeps Tia questioning if she and Max are really meant to be.

Here are the contest rules.
