Is it just me?

Have you noticed on credit card commercials the actors/actresses always swipe the cards the wrong way. The magnetic stripe is at the top back of the card, so how accurate is it that they always run the bottom of the card through the reader. I get the whole product placement thing but there's something that unnerves me about all those commercials.
